Epixode, the renowned Ghanaian Reggae and Dancehall artist, revealed his firm belief that financial independence is the key to success for musicians. 

The talented singer, widely known for his chart-topping track "Atia," emphasized the advantages of going independent and having full control over one's own affairs in the ever-evolving music landscape.

Epixode expressed that being financially grounded eliminates the need for artists to rely on record labels to propel their careers forward. 

With the necessary financial resources, artists can enlist the expertise of professionals to handle crucial aspects such as music distribution, strategic promotion, and rapid recognition within the industry.

In the fiercely competitive music industry, money plays a pivotal role in securing prime billboards, securing a prominent spot on popular streaming platforms, and executing various high-impact promotional activities.

Epixode stressed that having ample financial backing can significantly boost an artist's visibility and chances of success.

During the interview, Epixode shed light on the downsides of signing with a record label.

The agreement stipulated that he was obliged to perform at every scheduled show, regardless of his physical condition. 

Furthermore, he was restricted from creating remixes of his own songs for an astonishing ten years after parting ways with the label.
