"I had to walk for hours just to get there": Funny Face opens up about his difficult beginnings in comedy
Ghanaian comedian, Funny Face, recently opened up about his past struggles in the entertainment industry, revealing that he used to walk for over two hours from Circle to Tema just to crack a minute-long joke on Adom FM.
The popular comedian made this revelation during an interview with Berla Mundi on her day show.
Funny Face, whose real name is Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, is known for his humorous skits and stand-up comedy performances. However, his journey to success was not an easy one.
During the interview, he shared how he used to walk from Circle, a busy commercial area in Accra, to Tema, a town located about 25 kilometers away, just to get a chance to perform on the radio.
According to Funny Face, he used to walk for two and a half hours to reach the radio station, and sometimes, he would arrive too late to perform.
Despite this, he never gave up and kept pushing until he finally got his big break in the industry.
His persistence and dedication to his craft eventually paid off, as he became one of the most popular comedians in Ghana.
He has since appeared in several movies and TV shows, and has won several awards for his outstanding performances.
