 Infidelity is widespread in marriage, according to Ghanaian gospel singer Empress Gifty Adorye, and those who embrace this will be happy in their relationships.

This was spoken by the politician’s wife in Ghana during a radio interview, and a video of it has since been posted online.

She says that since everyone cheats, you should just accept it when you get married.

“After you do that, you will be prepared for when your partner unavoidably cheats,” she explained.

But you are sure to face heartache when your sweetheart betrays you after you have imagined them to be an angel.

Empress Gifty’s advice seems to be based on her own experience, since she has allegedly been the object of multiple affairs by her husband and has at least once been observed physically abusing one of his sidechicks in public.

PORK IS AN ANIMAL THAT HAS ALL THE ABOMINABLE DISEASES – Blakk Rasta

 A few days ago, Ghanaian musician Sonnie Badu initiated a discourse about pork demons, and now award-winning broadcaster Blakk Rasta has joined the discourse.

In a blog article, Sonnie Badu suggested that people cease eating pork because it puts them at risk of demonic attack.

Many online commenters criticized him after making the statement, questioning why he would make it now, centuries after Jesus cast the demons into the pigs, adding that the pigs even drowned.

The polarizing Blakk Rasta has also expressed his opinion on the subject, asking why anyone would consume pork given that it is rife with horrifying diseases.

He claims that even when the pork is grilled to a temperature of 100 degrees, the worms inside it do not perish.

He reiterated several health effects of consuming pork that people are unaware of or even brought up to inform those who are unaware of them.

He also questioned why people would enjoy eating and killing animals and then proclaim it to be sweet.

He said: “I don’t know about pork filled with demons. The only time I saw pigs and demons cast into them was in the days of Jesus Christ where they all got drowned. But I know there are bigger demons in pork than what Sonnie Badu is talking about. Why should anyone be happy about eating pork? This is an animal that has all the abominable diseases.

It is an animal that is a homosexual. It is an animal that has no respect. And this is your best meat? Listen! Pork has a certain kind of worm that does not die easily. Not even after 100 degrees Celsius of heating. It is called Taenia solium. I remember this from my days of doing general science. Pork has a certain formidable and robust worm that does not easily die.”

“Pork has one of the highest levels of cholesterol. Pork is not healthy. 99.99% of all those getting heart attacks are from those eating pork. Be careful. Be very careful. I do not know about any demons but I know that if you love your life, you won’t eat animals. 

This is a very serious truth. By now some people are insulting me. Muslims will be clapping in one corner. Some others will stand somewhere and say I am high on wee. Continue eating the pork and when you are dying in the hospital I will come and shake your hand and urge you to die quickly,” Blakk Rasta noted.

“Why should you even kill the animal? The way you love your life is the same way the animal loves his life. Why do you want to kill the animal and eat it? Is it not barbarism? Why should any human being eat animals at all? Why should you eat it? Leave the animal and let it grow and live. 

You catch it and barbarically slaughter it with so much violence. You cook it and eat, then you are not ashamed to come and say it is sweet,” he added.

R. Kelly gets a 20 year sentence – here’s a timeline of what eventually led to this judgement

 R. Kelly - whose real name is Robert Sylvester Kelly - has been sentenced 20 years in prison for child pornography and other charges. 

Associated Press reports that a U.S. judge handed him a 20-year prison term for child pornography and other charges on 23 February 2023.

According to the publication, he will serve most of this simultaneously with the 30-year sentence he is currently serving. The infamous singer was convicted of leading a decades-long sex crime scheme after a New York jury found him guilty of separate racketeering and sex trafficking charges.

According to Al Jazeera, the 54-year-old was found guilty of nine charges, including one of racketeering. This conviction comes six weeks after victims shared their testimonies of the disgraced singer’s involvement in the recruiting of women and teenagers for sex, before grooming and brutally abusing them.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the trial - which officially began in 2019 after years of rumours - was delayed in 2020.

Let’s take a look at some of the events that led to his conviction:

1994: R Kelly illegally marries minor, Aaliyah

In August 1994, a then 27-year-old R Kelly married a 15-year-old Aaliyah illegally. According to Sky News, R Kelly and Aaliyah wed in a secret ceremony following the release of her debut album, Age Aint Nothing But a Number.

R Kelly had allegedly gotten his former tour manager, Demetrius Smith, to bribe a government official who granted them a fake ID.

1996: R Kelly gets sued and accused of sleeping with a minor

Two years later, R Kelly got married to Andrea Lee, who was a dancer from his touring company. Later that year, Tiffany Hawkins, a high school student and aspiring singer, sues Kelly for $10 million and alleges they began having sex in 1991, when he was 24 and she was 15. In 1998, the lawsuit was settled for $250 000 and R Kelly denied any wrongdoing.

2000: Article accuses R Kelly of using his influence to sleep with minors

In 2000, The Chicago Sun Times reported that R Kelly had “used his position of fame and influence as a pop superstar to meet girls as young as 15 and have sex with them.”

2001: Intern at R Kelly’s record label accuses him of sexual harassment

The following year, Tracy Sampson, who interned at Epic Records when she was a teenager filed a lawsuit against Kelly, alleging their sexual contact was illegal under Illinois law because he was in a “position of authority” over her.

The lawsuit was settled in 2002 for $250 000.

2002: A report on R Kelly allegedly having sex with a minor in a videotape surfaces

In 2002, The Chicago Sun Times once again exposed the singer; this time they reported that one of its reporters, Jim DeRogatis, had anonymously received a 29-minute-long videotape allegedly showing Kelly having sex with a minor.

This report later caused the singer to be charged with a child pornography charge. He pleaded not guilty and was released on $750 000 bail.

2005: R Kelly’s wife, Andrea, files for a protection order against him

In the year 2005, R Kelly’s wife, Andrea Kelly, whom he has three children with, filed for a protection order against him after he allegedly hit her after she said she wanted a divorce.

2008: R Kelly’s child pornography trial begins

Five years after being charged with child pornography, an official child pornography trial against him began. However, R Kelly was acquitted of all charges against him.

2009: R Kelly and wife get divorced

In 2009, Andrea and R Kelly reveal that they are divorced after being married for 11 years.

2017: Parents accuse R Kelly of keeping their children in an abusive cult

In 2017, Buzzfeed News reported on claims made by parents who alleged that Kelly had brainwashed their daughters and kept them in an abusive “cult”. In the same year, the #MuteRKelly movement was started.

2018: Faith Rodgers files a lawsuit against R Kelly for sexual battery, mental and verbal abuse and knowingly giving her herpes

The following year, advocacy group Time’s Up and others associated with the broader #MeToo movement called for deeper investigation into Kelly’s alleged behaviour. This resulted in Spotify removing Kelly’s music from its platform.

Later that year, 20-year-old Faith Rodgers filed a lawsuit accusing Kelly of sexual battery, mental and verbal abuse, and knowingly giving her herpes.

2019: Surviving R Kelly documentary is aired, R Kelly gets arrested

In January 2019, Lifetime channel premiers Surviving R Kelly, a documentary series that chronicles the allegations against the singer and features interviews with several of his accusers.

A month after the documentary’s premier, R Kelly was arrested and charged in Chicago with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse.

2020: R Kelly pleads not guilty

In March 2020, R Kelly pleads not guilty to charges made by a new accuser.

2021: R Kelly is found guilty

In August 2021, R Kelly’s sex-trafficking trial begins. In September, he is found guilty of charges including sexual exploitation of a child, bribery, racketeering and sex trafficking involving five victims.

I am full of demons if you claim pork is possessed – Sefa Kayi to Sonnie Badu

 

The host of Kokrokoo on Peace FM, Kwami Sefa Kayi has joined the number of people disputing recent claims made by the founder and leader of Rockhill Chapel, Reverend Sonnie Badu, against the consumption of pork.

According to the journalist, he would be the warehouse of demons if it were to be true that eating pork causes a person to be possessed.

“On the flipside it has been reported that Sonnie Badu says those who eat pork will have demons attacking them at midnight. I don’t know if he actually said it. Sonnie Badu, wherever you are it is being reported that you claim demons will possess those of us who eat pork? If that’s the case I must be full of it,” he stated on the Wednesday, February 23, 2023, amidst laughter.

Sonnie Badu who is widely known as a gospel singer has recently been in the news following his open advocacy against pork consumption.

According to him, pork is an unclean food that opens one up to demonic attacks and possession.

He has sought to ground his argument in teachings of the Bible, however, some of his critics say Jesus according to the New Testament sanctified all things including pork for human consumption.

Reacting to Kwame Sefa Kayi’s position on the subject, some of his listeners via text messages shared thoughts on with several of them largely supporting the journalist.

“If Sonnie Badu himself turn into kwii (pig), we will eat him,” a message from Chief Biney read by the host said.

Ghanaian singer cum socialite known in showbiz circles as Sister Derby has revealed that she earned a substantial amount of money by selling photos and videos of herself on the adult site.

According to Sister Derby, she made between $10,000 to $11,000 within the first three months of joining the site.

 She mentioned in an interview with Sika Osei that she used part of the earnings to pay for her mother’s dental expenses and plane ticket, and she still has savings that she has not touched.

Within the first three months, I made like $10,000, or like $11,000. Part of the money went for my mum’s teeth fixing, and her plane ticket, and then I still have some savings wey I no touch am,” she said.

Sister Derby also disclosed that her boyfriend is sometimes involved in selecting the photos and videos to be shared on the site.

“I spoke to my boyfriend about it ooo and I asked him are you going to help me with the videos and he said yes. I let him choose the pictures.

My boyfriend is not managing it fully so when I ask him which picture should go first he will say this one. You know it is very classy,” she added.

According to Sister Derby, she discovered the site after stumbling upon another lady’s page on the site, where she had reportedly made a lot of money and purchased a penthouse.

This, she said prompted Sister Derby to explore the platform herself, leading to her success.

She added that she has found financial success through that platform where she sells adult content to subscribers.

 Comedian Emmanuel Ugonna Iwueke popularly known as Craze clown has taken to social media to pay tribute to Ghanaian football star, Christian Atsu, who was found dead after he went missing for days following the earthquakes in Turkey.
